People often ask me how I did it.

 

How one mom, on her own, raised two children who speak three languages, fluently and joyfully, every single day.

 

The truth? It never looked like a lesson.

 

It looked like songs in the kitchen while we kneaded the dough. Like bedtime stories told one more time, and then one more time again. Like a word turned into a game, a rhyme turned into a giggle on the way home from school, a story so funny they forgot they were learning at all.

 

There was no secret. They learned it by loving it, by living inside stories they couldn't wait to return to.

 

French was the one I fought hardest for. So I stopped looking for the right books, and I started writing my own. Small worlds, brave little heroes, secrets hidden in the sand of Lake Ontario...

 

My children fell in, and the words they learned stayed.

Now I write these stories for your children too.
